History
History of Mother's Day started with a meeting of women fighters with first Indonesian Women's Congress held on 22 - 25 December 1928 in Yogyakarta , in the building "Dalem Jayadipuran" which now serves as the office of History and Preservation Center of Traditional Values and addressed at. Brigjen Katamso.street .The Congress was attended by about 30 women's organizations from 12 cities in Java and Sumatra . The results of the congress is one of them is formed Women's Congress which is now known as the Indonesian Women's Congress (Kowani).

Women's organization itself has been around since 1912 , inspired by the struggle of the heroes of 19th-century women such as Martha Christina Tiahahu , Cut , Tjoet Nyak Meutia , RA Kartini , Maria Walanda Maramis , Dewi Sartika , Nyai Ahmad Dahlan , Rasuna Said , and other -other.

That event is considered one milestone history of the struggle of Indonesian women. Leaders of women's organizations from different regions of the archipelago gathered together a mind and spirit to strive toward independence and improving women's lot. Various issues at that time thought to be worked is the unity of women Archipelago, involving women in the struggle against the independence, involvement of women in various aspects of nation-building, trafficking of children and women, improvement of nutrition and health for mothers and toddlers, early marriage for women , and so forth. Without fanfare marked gender equality, women fighters were doing critical thinking and various efforts are very important for the progress of the nation.

Determination of 22 December as a celebration of Mother's Day was decided in the Indonesian Women's Congress III in 1938 . [9] Commemoration of 25 years Mother's Day in 1953 was celebrated gala at no less than 85 Indonesian cities, ranging from Meulaboh to Ternate .

President Sukarno set Presidential Decree No. 316 of 1959 that December 22 is Mother's Day and is celebrated nationally until now.

Mission of Mother's Day was originally more to commemorate the spirit and struggle of the women in this nation's quality improvement efforts. From there it also reflected the spirit of women from various backgrounds to come together and work together. In Solo , for example, 25 years Mother's Day is celebrated by making charity market is the result for Labour Welfare Foundation fund scholarships for women and girls. At that time the committee also held a Mother's Day Solo general meeting which passed a resolution asking the government to control prices, especially basic food ingredients. In the 1950's, Mother's Day commemoration took the form of rallies and public meetings to voice the interests of women directly.

One important moment for the women is the first woman to become a minister is Maria Ulfah in the year 1946 . Before independence the Congress of Women was involved in the international movement and the struggle for independence itself. in Year 1973 Kowani become a full member of the International Council of Women (ICW). ICW category serves as a consultative council of the United Nations .

Now, Mother's Day in Indonesia commemorated to express affection and gratitude to the mothers, the mothers praised motherhood. Various activities in the anniversary was a special gift, editing rates, a surprise party for mothers, various cooking competitions and wearing traditional kebaya, or freeing the mothers from the burden of daily domestic activities.

National Teacher Days

Today my country celebrate the national Teacher day. it annually celebrate on November 25T, Today is the 65th celebration. Teachers' Days are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers. This includes celebrations to honor the teachers for their special contribution in a particular field area or the community in general. In Indonesia National Teachers' Day is commemorated on the same day as the birthday of the Indonesian Teachers' Association, the PGRI. National Teachers' Day in not a holiday, and it is celebrated by having a ceremonial activity in recognition of certain teachers, head masters, and school staff.

PGRI born on November 25, 1945, after 100 days of the proclamation of Indonesian independence. PGRI organization embryo is preceded by the name of the Dutch East Indies Teachers Association (PGHB) in 1912, later changed its name to the Teachers' Association of Indonesia (PGI) in 1932.

The spirit of Indonesian nationalism has long been growing among teachers of the Indonesian nation. Organizations struggle of indigenous teachers in the Dutch era stood in 1912 with the name of the Dutch East Indies Teachers Association (PGHB). Unitaristik organization whose members are comprised of Bantu Teachers, Teachers Village, principal, and school inspectors. With educational backgrounds different they are generally served at the Village School and School of Folk Two Figures.

In line with the situation then in addition to developing PGHB religious character of teachers' organizations, nationalities, and others.

National consciousness and fighting spirit that has long grown encourage teachers to fight for equal rights of indigenous and position with the Dutch. In 1932 the name of the Dutch East Indies Teachers Association (PGHB) was changed to Indonesian Teachers Association (PGI). This change is surprising the Dutch government, because the word "Indonesia" that reflects the spirit of nationalism is not liked by the Dutch. Conversely, the word "Indonesia" is highly coveted by the teacher and the nation of Indonesia. At the time of Japanese occupation prohibited all organizations, schools closed, the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGI) can no longer perform the activity.

The spirit animates the proclamation of August 17, 1945 Master Indonesia organization of the Congress on December 24 to 25 November 1945 in Surakarta. Along this congress, all organizations and groups of teachers based on the difference in graduate, work environment, regional environment, politics, religion, and tribe, agreed to be abolished. In the spirit yell "freedom" that pounding, amid the smell of gunpowder bombardment by British soldiers on the studio RRI Surakarta, they united for the independence simultaneously with three objectives:

1. Keeping and perfecting the Republic of Indonesia
2. Heightens the level of education and teaching in accordance with the fundamentals of populist
3. keep the rights and the fate of workers generally, teachers in particular. Since Indonesia's Teachers' Congress, all teachers of Indonesia declares himself united in container Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI)

Life of dedication, determination and spirit of unity and struggle for unity PGRI owned historically and continues to be nurtured in maintaining the independence of the republic unitary state of Indonesia. In the hue and political dynamics are very dynamic, Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (PGRI) remains faithful in his devotion as a fighting organization, professional organizations, and labor organizations, which are unitaristik, independent, practical and not political.

For this reason, as a tribute to the teachers, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia by Presidential Decree No. 78 of 1994, set a day PGRI born November 25, as National Teacher Day, and is commemorated every year.

Eid al-Adha (Sacrifice Feast)

Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى‎ ‘Īdu l-’Aḍḥā) or "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isma'il) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead.[1] The meat is divided into three parts to be distributed to others. The family retains one third of the share, another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors, and the other third is given to the poor & needy.

Eid al-Adha is the latter of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from Sura 2 (Al-Baqara) Ayah 196 in the Qur'an.[2] Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a Wajib prayer of two Raka'ah (units) followed by a sermon (khuṭbah).

The word "Eid" appears in Sura al-Mai'da ("The Table Spread," Chapter 5) of the Qur'an, meaning 'solemn festival'.[3]

Eid al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar.[4] Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.[5]

The Arabic term "Festival of Sacrifice", ‘Eid ul-’Aḍḥā, was borrowed as a unit from Semitic roots that evolved into Indic languages such as Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Bengali and Austronesian languages such as Malay and Indonesian.

Another Semitic word for "sacrifice" is the Arabic Qurbān (Arabic: قربان‎), which is used in Dari Persian - Afghanistan and Iranian dialect of Persian as Eyde Ghorbân عید قربان, and in Tajik Persian as Иди Қурбон (Idi Qurbon), into Kazakh as Құрбан айт (Qurban ayt), into Uyghur as Qurban Heyit, and also into various Indic languages. Other languages combined the Arabic word qurbān with local terms for "festival", as in Kurdish (Cejna Qurbanê[6]), Pashto (Kurbaneyy Akhtar), Chinese (古尔邦节 Gúěrbāng Jié), Malay and Indonesian (Hari Raya Korban, Qurbani), and Turkish (Kurban Bayramı). The Turkish term was later used in other languages such as Azeri (Qurban Bayramı), Tatar (Qorban Bäyräme), Bosnian and Croatian (Kurban-bajram), Serbian (Курбан бајрам), Russian (Курбан-байрам).

Another Arabic name, ‘Īd ul-Kabīr (عيد الكبير `Īd al-Kabīr), meaning "Greater Eid/Festival" (the "Lesser Eid" being Eid ul-Fitr[7]), is used in Yemen, Syria, and North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt). The term was borrowed directly into French as Aïd el-Kebir. Translations of "Big Eid" or "Greater Eid" are used in Pashto لوی اختر Loy Akhtar, Kashmiri Baed Eid, Hindi and Urdu Baṛā Īd, Malayalam Bali Perunnal, and Tamil Peru Nāl.

Another name refers to the fact that the holiday occurs after the culmination of the Hajj (حج), or pilgrimage to Mecca (Makka). Such names are used in Malay and Indonesian (Hari Raya Haji "Hajj celebration day", Lebaran Haji), and in Tamil Hajji Peru Nāl.

In Urdu-speaking areas, the festival is also called بقرعید Baqra Īd or Baqrī Īd, stemming either from the Arabic baqarah "heifer" or the Urdu word baqrī for "goat", as cows and goats are among the traditionally sacrificed animals. That term was also borrowed into other languages, such as Tamil Bakr Eid Peru Nāl.

Other local names include 宰牲节 Zǎishēng Jié ("Slaughter-livestock Festival") in Chinese, Tfaska Tamoqqart in the Berber language of Djerba, Tabaski or Tobaski in West African languages,[8][9]Babbar Sallah in Nigerian languages, and ciida gawraca in Somali.

Eid-al-Adha has other popular names across the Muslim world. The name is often simply translated into the local language, such as English Festival of Sacrifice, German Opferfest, Dutch Offerfeest, Romanian Sărbătoarea Sacrificiului and Hungarian Áldozati ünnep.

Background
According to Islamic tradition, approximately four thousand years ago, the valley of Mecca (in what is now Saudi Arabia) was a dry, rocky and uninhabited place. Abraham ('Ibraheem in Arabic) was instructed to bring his Egyptian wife Hagar (Hāǧar) and Ishmael, his only child at the time (Ismā'īl), to Arabia from the land of Canaan (in Palestine as well as parts of Lebanon,Jordan,Syria and Sinai) by God's command.

As Abraham was ready to return to Canaan, Hagar asked him, "Did Allah (God) order you to leave us here?" When Abraham replied: "Yes, I was directed by Allah (God)," Hagar said, "Then Allah will not forget us; you can go". Although Abraham had left a large quantity of food and water with Hagar and Ishmael, the supplies quickly ran out, and within a few days the two began to feel the pangs of hunger and dehydration.

Hagar ran up and down between two hills called Al-Safa and Al-Marwah seven times, in her desperate quest for water. Exhausted, she finally collapsed beside her baby Ishmael and prayed to God for deliverance. Miraculously, a spring of water gushed forth from the earth at the feet of baby Ishmael. Other accounts have the angel Gabriel (Jibril) striking the earth and causing the spring to flow in abundance. With this secure water supply, known as the Zamzam Well, they were not only able to provide for their own needs, but were also able to trade water with passing nomads for food and supplies.

Years later, Abraham was instructed by God to return from Palestine to build a place of worship adjacent to Hagar's well (the Zamzam Well). Abraham and Ishmael constructed a stone and mortar structure —known as the Kaaba— which was to be the gathering place for all who wished to strengthen their faith in God. As the years passed, Ishmael was blessed with Prophethood (Nubuwwah) and gave the nomads of the desert his message of submission to God. After many centuries, Mecca became a thriving desert city and a major center for trade, thanks to its reliable water source, the well of Zamzam.

One of the main trials of Abraham's life was to face the command of God to devote his dearest possession, his only son. Upon hearing this command, he prepared to submit to God's will. During this preparation, Satan (Shaitan) tempted Abraham and his family by trying to dissuade them from carrying out God's commandment, and Ibrahim and Ishmael drove Satan away by throwing pebbles at him. In commemoration of their rejection of Satan, stones are thrown at symbolic pillars signifying Satan during the Hajj rites.

When Ishmael was about 13 (Ibrahim being 99), Allah (God) decided to test their faith in and submission to Allah in public. Both father and son were put through the most difficult test of their love for Allah. Abraham had a recurring dream, in which God was commanding him to offer his son as a sacrifice – an unimaginable act – sacrificing his son, which God had granted him after many years of deep prayer, the one who had been the centre of his affection and love for all these years. Abraham knew that the dreams of the prophets were inspired by Allah, and one of the ways in which God communicated with his prophets. This must be what Allah had wanted him to do. When the intent of the dreams became clear to him, Abraham decided to fulfil God's command and offer his beloved son in sacrifice.

Although Abraham was ready to sacrifice his dearest for Allah’s sake, he could not just go and drag his son to the place of sacrifice without his consent. Isma'el had to be consulted as to whether he was willing to give up his life as fulfillment to God's command. This consultation would be a major test of Isma'el’s maturity in faith, love and commitment for Allah, willingness to obey his father and sacrifice his own life for the sake of Allah.

Abraham presented the matter to his son and asked for his opinion about the dreams of slaughtering him. Ishmael’s reaction was absolutely astounding. He did not show any hesitation or reservation even for a moment. He said, “Father, do what you have been commanded. You will find me, Insha'Allah (God willing), to be very patient.” His mature response, his deep insight into the nature of dad’s dreams, his commitment to Allah, and ultimately his willingness to sacrifice his own life for the sake of Allah were all unprecedented.

When both father and son had shown their perfect obedience to Allah and they had practically demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice their most precious possessions for His sake—Abraham by laying down his son for sacrifice and Ishmael by lying patiently under the knife – Allah called out to them stating that his sincere intentions had been accepted, and that he need not carry out the killing of Ishmael. Instead, Abraham was told to replace his son with a ram to sacrifice instead. Allah also told them that they had passed the test imposed upon them by his willingness to carry out God's command.[10]

This is mentioned in the Qur'an as follows:

"O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. And when (his son) was old enough to walk and work with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I see in vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now see what is your view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do what you are commanded; if Allah wills, you will find me one practising patience and steadfastness!" So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, We called out to him saying: O Ibraheem! You have indeed fulfilled the vision; surely thus do We reward those who do good. Most surely this was a manifest trial. And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice. And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.[11]

As a reward for this sacrifice, Allah then granted Abraham the good news of the birth of his second son, Is-haaq (Isaac):

And We gave him the good news of Is-haaq, a prophet from among the righteous. [12]

Abraham had shown that his love for his god superseded all others: that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dearest to him in submission to God's command. Muslims commemorate this ultimate act of sacrifice every year during Eid al-Adha.

The Sunnah of Eid al-Adha
In keeping with the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, Muslims are encouraged to prepare themselves for the occasion of Eid. Below is a list of things Muslims are recommended to do in preparation for the Eid al-Adha festival:

1. Wake up early (before sunrise).
2. Make wudu (ablution) and offer Salat al-Fajr (the pre-sunrise prayer).
3. Prepare for personal cleanliness - take care of details of clothing, etc.
4. Take a Ghusl (bath) after Fajr prayer.
5. Brush teeth (preferably with a miswak, or tooth-stick).
6. Dress up, putting on new or best clothes available (White, when available, is optimal[13]).
7. Apply (alcohol free) perfume (attar) (men only).
8. It is Sunnah not to eat anything before going to Eid prayers. Contrast with Eid ul-Fitr when eating dates is recommended. The sacrifice must be done after Eid prayers to be accepted as sacrifice. [14][15]
9. Go to the prayer grounds (known as an 'Eidgah') early.
10. Offer Salat al-Eid (the congregational Eid prayer) in an open place, weather permitting, or in mosque.
11. Use two separate routes when traveling to and from the Eid prayer location.
12. Recite the following Takbir which starts at Maghrib (sunset) on the 9th of Dhu al-hijah and last until the Asr on the 12th Dhu al-ilhijah: Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. La ilaha illa-lah wallahu-Akbar. Allahu-Akbar wa-lillahil-hamd, which translates to: "Allah (God) is the Greatest (3 times); there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest and to Him are due all praises."

Salat al-Eid (Eid Prayer)
Salat al-Eid is a Wajib (strongly recommended, but just short of obligatory) congregational prayer. It consists of two Raka'ah (units) with six additional Takbirs. Unlike the five daily canonical prayers, no adhan (Call to Prayer) or iqama (call) is pronounced for the two Eid prayers.[16] It must be offered in congregation. The Salaat (prayer) is then followed by the Khutbah, or sermon, by the Imam. The Khutbah is considered an integral part of the Eid prayer and so listening to it is thus considered Wajib. During the Khutbah, the Imam reminds the Muslim community about its responsibilities and obligations towards Allah, and good works, kindness, mercy and generosity towards their fellow Muslims and humanity as a whole.

At the conclusion of the prayers and sermon, the Muslims embrace and exchange greetings with one other (Eid Mubarak), give gifts (Eidi) to children, and visit one another. Many Muslims also take this opportunity to invite their non-Muslims friends, neighbours, co-workers and classmates to their Eid festivities to better acquaint them about Islam and Muslim culture.

Rules Regarding the Animal to be Sacrificed
1. The animal has to be one of the cattle approved by the Sharia (Cow, Camel, Goat, Sheep etc.)
2. The animal has reached the required age. The adult age is:

* Six months for a sheep
* One year for a goat, lamb
* Two years for a cow
* Five years for a camel.

1. The animal is free from an obvious defect like a one-eyed animal whose defect is obvious, a sick animal whose sickness is obvious, a lame animal whose limp is obvious and an emaciated animal that has no marrow in its bones
2. The animal is in full possession of the one who is offering the sacrifice; i.e. it is not stolen or taken by force, not of joint possession or held in pledge
3. The animal can not be sold or given away once selected or bought for sacrifice, unless exchanging for something better

Rules Related to the Person offering the Sacrifice

1. Being a Muslim
2. It is necessary for the one who intends to offer the sacrifice that he does not remove any hair or nail from the sunset on last day of Zhul-Qa’dah until the sacrifice is done on the Eid day
3. Doing the slaughter with one’s own hands. If one is not able to do so then he can appoint some one else to do the slaughter on his behalf. In such case one should witness his slaughter if at all possible.
4. It is a necessary condition of the sacrifice that the animal be slaughtered with the intention of offering a sacrifice (udhiyah). The intention must be in the heart, and should not be spoken out loud.
5. Taking the Name of Allah at the time of slaughter.

The Takbir and Other Rituals
The Takbir is recited from the dawn of the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah to the thirteenth, and consists of:[19]

couple days ago my laptop seem not well, it getting slower. So when i want to scan it for virus antisipative, i was shock, my avira is in "guard unknown" mode.like this one

Then i knew there was something terible happen with my laptop, so i tried to restore my system, it can be do it by enter:

Start Menu >> Acessories >> System Tools >> System Restore

yet another weird thing happen, it won't run , the pop up windows say such word:

"System Restore has been turned off by group policy. To turn on System Restore, contact your domain Administrator. "

Hmmm, i'm in administrator, so why it can't be run. I search on google , and i found some solution and i try this one:

1. Click Start, Run and type regedit.exe and press Enter
2. Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ SystemRestore

In the right-pane:

Delete the value DisableConfig
Delete the value DisableSR

Then my Restore System could run this time, but it error when i choose whatever restore point. It really make me sick. D*mn. So I try portable anti virus and malware, yet i used ISO360 bit and malwarebyte. but I does'nt seem solve the problem.

So i checked the startup application....u can do it by two way:

1. By Msconfig

klik run >> msconfig >>tab startup

2. By TuneUp Utilities StartUp Manager

then find something not usual and weird application...in my laptop i find "games.exe"......so i removed it from the startup list , and trace it to the folder it place. Woala i find the folder, it hide on "RECYCLE" folder. You must set folder option for enable to see it.

delete the entire folder where "games.exe"(in my laptop) hide.

The next step i took is uninstalled my Avira and installed it once again, after reboot. It all work well now....Yatta i'm so happy.

But suddenly my celebration stop, when i use to browse to the internet, a one page cannot load. I try to ping it by command prompt....and it work well, so i search to the internet to find some of the solution. Thanks god i finally found the solution one.

it has to be something with winsock , so i download the winsockxpfix. With that my laptop back to normal again...Fiuuuuhhh.

10 simple things you can do today to help reduce your environmental impact, save money, and live a happier, healthier life.

Save energy to save money.
- Set your thermostat a few degrees lower in the winter and a few degrees higher in the summer to save on heating and cooling costs.
- Install compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) when your older incandescent bulbs burn out.
- Unplug appliances when you're not using them. Or, use a "smart" power strip that senses when appliances are off and cuts "phantom" or "vampire" energy use.

like a told you last time, i will make a review for this movie, i'm sherlock holmes fan, yet it better if in this movie there are professor moriarty...so please enjoy

In 1891 London, Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.), Dr. John Watson (Jude Law), and Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan) stop Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong) before he performs a ritual sacrifice of a woman. Blackwell remains in prison for three months before he is executed by hanging, but has promised to Holmes, in a private conversation, that three more murders will occur and will change the nature of their world.

While Watson prepares to leave 221B Baker Street to establish his own business and marry Mary Morstan (Kelly Reilly), Holmes is hired by Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams), an old foil, to find a red-haired midget. Holmes follows Adler to discover she is working for a man that remains unidentified in shadows. Three days after Blackwood's death, his tomb is found destroyed, and his coffin contains the body of the midget. Holmes and Watson discover the midget's home containing numerous chemical experiments, but run into thugs that are attempt to burn the building down to cover the evidence. Though they escape, they are arrested for property damage. Watson is released on bail raised by Morstan, while Holmes is taken secretly to the Temple of the Four Orders, an occult-dabbling secret society. Their leaders beg Holmes to stop Blackwood, revealing he was a former member and the son of the current leader; though Holmes refuses their offer, he continues to investigate. Shortly after their meeting, the two senior members of the Order are murdered, and Blackwood reveals himself to the other members, still alive. Blackwood convinces the remaining member to follow him to lead England to take back the United States, presently weakened after its civil war.

Blackwood captures Alder and lures Holmes and Watson into a trap to rescue her; though Alder and Holmes escape unharmed, Watson is bed-ridden from injuries. Holmes discovers a warrant has been issued for him by the Home Secretary, a member of the Order, and goes into hiding, using the time to deduce Blackwood's plan. Holmes recognizes the three murders are tied to the mythological Sphinx, and determines that Blackwell's next strike will be the English Parliament. Holmes works in secret with LeStrade to be taken to the Home Secretary as a prisoner, and is able to confirm his theory before escaping onto a waiting boat on the Thames with Watson and Alder.

The three enter the sewers beneath Parliament and discover a complex machine, based on the midget's experiments, with a radio-controller trigger to release a cyanide derivative into the Parliament chambers, set to kill all but those in Blackwell's favor. After defeating Blackwell's thugs, they dislodge the cylinders containing the cyanide compound, disabling the machine, and Alder escapes with them through the sewers to the top of the unfinished Tower Bridge, followed by Blackwell and Holmes. Blackwell knocks Alder out, but get tangled in the ropes and chains and struggles to free himself. Holmes arrives and explains all of Blackwell's mysticism as applications of science and trickery, and intends to take him back to prison. However, Blackwell slips and falls, hanging himself on the chains. Holmes helps Adler recover, then handcuffs her, but leaves a key to the lock in her bodice. She explains that her employer is Professor Moriarty, warning him of his deviousness. Some time later, the police report to Holmes and Watson of a dead officer found near Blackwood's device, and Holmes deduces that chasing Adler and fighting Blackwood was a diversion by Moriarty to steal the radio remote component from it. Holmes readily accepts the case.

Did you lived in a downtown?a place filled with skyscrapers, carpet of roads and pollution. Can you imagine that world in which we eat, build, and raise our children will green?

why not ? there are several way to make it come true...one of hot topic for this is green roof for building in down town. just look at this picture of chicago city hall before and after applied green roof.

Chicago is using a grant for the US Environmental Protection Agency to study green roofs. A green roof has been planted on the City Hall building. According to the EPA:

Projected total direct electricity savings were 9,272 kilowatt-hours per year, and the corresponding savings in natural gas for heating were 7.372 therms per year. (This calculation compares the base case R-value, or thermal resistance value To definition provided on the glossary page , of 5.9 with the treated roof – garden and insulation – R-value 21.2.)

Green Roof

Green roofs go by many names that include, but are not limited to, vegetated roofs, garden roofs, eco-roofs, and rooftop gardens. Regardless of the terminology used, they perform by reducing roof top runoff, which facilitates the removal of pollutant loads. Precipitation that falls on the green roof is absorbed, filtered, and retained by the soil media. This in turn is taken up by the plants. Evapotranspiration, due to the sun’s radiation, draws much of the water from the soil media and plant life. This greatly reduces, if not eliminates, the amount of stormwater leaving the site.
With the recent popularity of green roofs across the nation, many people assume the technology is new. In fact, green roofs have been around for thousands of years. One of the first notable appearances of green roofs occurred in the Hanging Gardens of Babylon around 500 BC.

The site is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. There are two types of green roofs: intensive and extensive. Intensive green roofs can accommodate large trees, shrubs, and well maintained gardens. They can be regularly accessed and use is encouraged. The intensive roof garden is designed with a minimum of a foot of soil depth, which can add 80 – 150 pounds per square foot of load to the building structure. The design also includes complex irrigation and drainage systems because annual precipitation can not feed the more intensive plant life. Regular maintenance for an intensive roof garden is required. The extensive green roof is more low key. It can accommodate many kinds of vegetative ground cover and grasses. Plants from the Sedum genus are usually used because they are hardy and colorful. Access and use of the roof by the public is generally restricted for an extensive roof garden. The extensive roof garden is designed with only one to five inches of soil depth, which can add 12 – 50 pounds per square foot (dry weight) depending on soil characteristics and the type of substrate. The design also includes a simple irrigation and drainage system. Maintenance on an extensive roof garden is minimal.

The construction of roof gardens can be difficult, due to the many layers involved. See figure 1 below. The bottom layer is the roof construction. The roof construction must have a waterproofing layer that is durable enough to safeguard the structure over time with minimal maintenance. An example of a commonly used waterproofing agent is a fluid-applied rubberized asphalt waterproofing membrane (Wood 2004). Above the waterproofing layer is the moisture retention protection mat that retains a portion of the precipitation for future plant usage. Contained within the moisture retention protection mat is a root retardant that prevents plant roots from penetrating. Root barriers often contain copper sulfate to retard plant growth (Moran 2004). The next layer is the drainage layer. Various kinds of drainage layers are used by different contractors. Some layers have drainage channels that allow excess precipitation to collect and drain. Others contain small cups that collect excess precipitation that can be absorbed into the soil medium for plant use in the future. The water contained within the cups provides a moist, beneficial subsoil environment for the plants, without allowing fungus or root rot (Wood 2004). Next a filter fabric mat is installed to prevent soil particles from entering the drainage layer.

The final layer consists of the soil medium. Ordinarily, good soil is very heavy due to its high clay content (Wood 2004). Because of the loads already associated with green roofs, lighter soil mediums are required. Soil medium used for green roofs is a combination of shale, pumice, sand, and organic matter. Care must be taken when preparing the soil mixture to prevent the export of pollutants. Mixes with large quantities of compost have been shown to export nitrogen and phosphorus. The USDA-Agricultural Research Service suggests providing the mix with a quality mature compost manufactured using industrial byproducts high in iron and manganese to reduce phosphorus solubility andncrease heavy metal adsorption (Sherman 2005). The mix must promote hydrated plant life, but prevent over-saturation. The depth of the soil medium depends on the type of green roof under construction.

Green roof implementation provides a wide array of benefits for the user :

Reduce sewage system loads by assimilating large amounts of rainwater

Reduce urban heat island effects

Absorb air pollution, airborne particulates, and store carbon

Protect underlying roof material by eliminating exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation and extreme daily temperature fluctuations

Serve as living environments that provide habitats for birds and other small animals

Offer an attractive alternative to traditional roofs, addressing growing concerns about urban quality of life

Reduce noise transfer from the outdoors

Insulate a building from extreme temperatures

Some research has shown that green roofs can also provide emotional benefits. In high stress environments, employees can visit a green roof to take a break from the daily grind. The relaxing surroundings can improve their health and decrease employee absenteeism, thus making for a happier work environment.

Get Started With Windows 7 XP Mode

With the release of Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate editions, Microsoft is including a little gift called XP Mode. XP Mode is a virtual machine running Windows XP. I call it a gift since to similarly equip Vista would have incurred the additional cost of a license for XP. Microsoft gives us XP mode as a means to having a fully modern computing environment without having to sacrifice legacy support.

Here's a quick guide to getting up and running with XP Mode.

Enable Hardware Virtualization

XP Mode is a non-starter if your CPU doesn't have hardware virtualization support enabled. To check if your CPU is supported, Intel and AMD both offer utilities to identify your CPU and what features it offers. If your CPU supports virtualization, this feature needs to be enabled in the BIOS.

Download and Install Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode

To download both Virtual PC and XP mode, follow this link. XP Mode is a 472MB file, so set aside some time for both downloading and installation.

First install Virtual PC, then XP Mode. Both installations are straightforward and the default settings will suffice for most situations. When XP Mode setup launches and you'll need to supply a password for the local XP Mode user that XP Mode automatically creates on the virtual machine. Finally you'll need to decide whether or not you want automatic updates. After all this information is gathered, Windows will finalize installation of XP Mode.

When installation is complete XP Mode will launch in Desktop Mode. Here, you have access to the full XP environment. Desktop Mode is useful when you want to use a completely separate desktop environment from your Windows 7 base install. It's important to note that by default, shortcut keystrokes are only passed to XP in Desktop Mode when it's running in full-screen. Also, while you don't have drag and drop capability between the operating systems, they do share a clipboard. Also, you have access to the complete host file system while in Desktop Mode.

Virtualizing Apps with Seamless Mode

Where XP Mode really shines is with Seamless Mode, which lets you launch XP apps straight from your Windows 7 menus. To use Seamless Mode, you first install an app under Desktop Mode, then log out of and close the virtual machine. The app you just installed can then be found on the host PC's Start menu under All Programs, Windows Virtual PC, Windows XP Mode Applications.

When the app is launched from the host OS, XP launches in the background and the app appears as if it were running natively in Windows 7. Apps run this way are called virtual applications. If you don't find the default start menu location to be convenient, you can move the shortcut to any location a traditional shortcut can be placed. If the app you want to virtualize doesn't automatically create a Start menu shortcut, or the app is already included with Windows (Internet Explorer 6.0 for example), you simply need to create a shortcut for it in Desktop Mode under c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu and the app will appear on the host start menu under Windows XP Mode Applications.

Seamless Mode isn't completely seamless; there are couple issues with it. In multi-monitor setups, the virtual application only lives on the primary monitor. Also, virtual apps don't want to play along with the Windows 7 Snap feature. Their Windows needed to be manually resized. It's also important to note that virtual applications and Desktop Mode cannot be used simultaneously. Finally, you'll need to keep in mind that a full OS needs to boot before a virtual app can be run, so a little patience will be needed on that first launch.

Despite its few limitations, IT admins will find that XP Mode provides a viable means of coping with legacy applications while fully modernizing the desktop environment.

At the end of World War II many Indonesians believed that independence was imminent. Few realised that it would be another five years of fighting before the country became a fully independent republic. The area around the east Javanese town of Surabaya became the scene of some of the heaviest fighting, and the Battle of Surabaya, which cost the lives of many thousands of Indonesians, became a symbol of resistance to the re-imposition of Dutch colonial rule.
The future President Sukarno declared independence on 17 August 1945, and on 19 September, Dutch internees, with Japanese support, occupied the Oranje Hotel in Surabaya, and hoisted the Dutch flag. While this was taking place, young Indonesians were busily replacing Japanese flags in all the offices with Indonesian ones.

When they heard what the Dutch had done, the Indonesians rushed to the hotel, and hand to hand fighting began with the Dutch, who were determined to defend their flag. Very soon shots were heard, and several people fell - both Dutch and Indonesian - as several Indonesian youths climed the flagpole and ripped the blue stripe off the Dutch flag.
By the beginning of October, fierce fighting had broken out between the Indonesians and the Japanese, who refused to hand over their arms. The Indonesians managed to take possession of numerous buildings throughout Surabaya, and commandeered hundreds of cars and trucks to facilitate their movement throughout the town.
Then, on 25 October, some 6,000 British troops of the 49th Brigade of the 23rd Division under the command of Brigadier Mallaby, entered Surabaya. They had been ordered to organise the recovery of Allied prisoners-of-war, and the Indonesians were happy to co-operate. However, the British also sought to recapture Surabaya for the Dutch, and occupied key buildings and railway stations, and dropped leaflets over the town informing the populace that anyone seen bearing arms would be shot.
The British had underestimated the extent of Indonesian resistance, and indeed the numbers involved. They found themselves up against a force of 20,000 troops of the newly-formed People's Security Army (Tentara Keamanan Rakyat), and over 100,000 irregular fighters, all dedicated to the cause of Indonesian independence. Fierce fighting broke out on 28 October, and soon the Indonesians had surrounded the eight British command posts scattered throughout the city.
Faced with certain defeat, the British asked Jakarta to intervene, and the following day General Hawthorne, President Sukarno, and VP Hatta flew in to negotiate a truce. A truce was reached on 30 October, and the party from Jakarta left. An evacuation of the British to the harbour was arranged, but in the excitement and confusion, fighting erupted during which Brigadier Mallaby was killed.
The British then decided to take Surabaya by force, and secretly landed 24,000 troops of the 5th Division, along with 24 Sherman tanks and the same number of armed aircraft, backed by a number of warships.
On 9 November, the British gave the Indonesians an ultimatum, ordering their leaders to surrender. When they refused, bombs were dropped on Surabaya on 10 November, heralding a battle that was to last three weeks, at the end of which 200,000 of the town's population had fled, mainly old people, women and children. Over 16,000 Indonesian troops had been killed, and 2,000 British lives lost.
Although the Indonesian resistance had been defeated, the Battle of Surabaya represented an important strategic victory for the Indonesians. It was also an important turning point for the Dutch, who until then had believed that the resistance had no popular support. The Battle of Surabaya shocked them into realising that they were no longer a colonial power.

after break for quite long i decide to write this blog again....he...he..he

i'm start with movie review from one of my favourite anime (japanese cartoon movie) : Case Close a.k.a Meitantei Conan a.k.a Detective Conan .

did you ever watch it? No? then i'll give you a bit review for this anime

Detective Conan

Detective Conan, is a Japanese detective manga (japanese comic ) series written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama and is serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994. The name "Case Closed" for the English language release results from "unspecified legal considerations" of the name Detective Conan. The story follows the adventures of Sinichi Kudo, a prodigious young detective who was inadvertently transformed into a child due to a poison.

There are thirteen feature films based on the Detective Conan series. The films have been released in April of each year starting in 1997. Each movie features an original plotline, rather than being an adaptation of the manga's story.

The Raven Chaser

A man driving down a hillside road suddenly realizes that his car’s brakes don't work. Traveling at a high speed, the car crashes into a toll station. The man dies but leaves a mysterious dying message: "Tanabata ... kyo...”

Kogoro Mouri is invited to a big conference about a large murder case. Conan tags along and eavesdrops. Six people were murdered in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Nagasaki and other places in Japan. Because mysterious Mahjong tiles were left beside each victim, the police concluded that the same person or organization committed these large-scale murders. Under Matsumoto’s appeal, Megure and his subordinates, along with the police from other areas in Japan, search for the murderer, while Kogoro Mouri and Conan help.

Unable to find the answer to this puzzling case, the meeting was temporarily adjourned. Conan discovers a police officer walking out of the building and entering a black Porsche. "That car... Could it be…Gin?!” A Black Organization member, who had gone into the Gin’s Porsche and disappeared, is disguised as a member of the police to gain access to the meeting. Conan goes to Agasa’s house and tells Agasa and Haibara. All three agree that the mystery passenger was most likely Vermouth as she is the right height and is an expert in disguise. Why was Gin there? Is the Black Organization involved in this chain of homicides? As Conan is left wondering what interest the Black Organization has in that case, Haibara warns him not to go too far.

The day of Tanabata , in a shopping mall, the police are trying to catch two suspects, a man and a woman, of the serial murder case. They managed to surround the pair, but the man uses a knife holds a nearby woman hostage. Using the inflatable ball, Conan manages to knock the knife out of the man's hand. His accomplice manages to retrieve the knife and aims at Yui but the attack is intercepted by Megure. The knife punctures his abdomen, and he says, "It's alright; I'm 'fat' enough." From this point, he cries out in pain during moments of high emotion, such as big leads in the investigation.

The woman who was used to threaten the police has vanished. Conan follows her to her car and finds a disguised Vermouth, saying that he identified her by a bulge in her ankle, which he identified as an ankle holster for a pistol. She says that the Black Organization needs a memory chip and a new member, "Irish". The suspects gain an alibi because another person was killed during the time of the chase. Satou starts to suspect that a police officer is involved in the case. Conan tries to solve the case by following the dying message lead. He and Heiji find out that there was a fire accident in a hotel in Kyoto, and a young woman named Nana died. Conan tracks down her family and neighbor, and he asks them some questions.

The suspect is now the lover of the dead woman. Conan realizes that the two may have gone star gazing together and that the crime scenes are ordered like the star constellation Ursa Major. The last crime will take place at the Tokyo Tower. Yamamura and Kogoro also find the pattern of the crime scenes, and the police leave for Tokyo Tower.

The members of the Black Organization suddenly become very active; Chianti and Korn impede the police investigation, Vermouth tracks the progress of the case. Gin and Vodka are going to assassinate an important figure. As the police are investigating the murders, the Teitan elementary and high schools have been invaded by unknown persons. Conan goes to Tokyo Tower where many people dressed in Kimonos have gathered there to celebrate the Tanabata.

When the police arrive at a deserted Tokyo Tower, they find Conan and the lover of Nana there. The fire in the hotel in Kyoto killed Nana because she wasn't in the last elevator, which could only hold seven. However, eight people needed to escape. The lover thought one of the seven must have pushed her out, but a family member of Nana testifies that she voluntarily stepped out. He was the last of the seven in the elevator. He is strong and uses a knife to threaten Conan and the lover. Someone shoots the knife out of Nana’s relative’s hands - Matsumoto.

Conan realizes that Matsumoto is not the real one but Irish in perfect disguise. Irish says he doesn't want to kill Conan and that he knows Conan’s true identity but didn't tell anyone yet. Conan wants the memory chip but Irish refuses to hand it over. Irish is a very good friend of Pisco, who was killed by Gin.

Irish is strong and clever, and his gun soon renders all of Conan’s gears useless. Soon Ran arrives at Tokyo Tower to find Conan. She finds him but has to encounter Irish, who is still disguised as Matsumoto. She makes some good Karate hits, but her kick to his face tore off part of his mask, thus surprising her. Irish used this to his advantage and overpowered Ran.

Irish and Conan move outside near the top as soon a helicopter with Gin, Vodka, Korn and Chianti arrives. Irish shows them the card, and Gin orders Chianti to shoot him and the card. Irish is barely alive. Conan tries to drag him to safety, but then Gin notices Conan and tries to shoot him. Irish protects Conan and dies. With his last breath, he said that Vermouth told him that he can trust Shinichi Kudo.

The Black Organization try to shoot Conan but end up damaging the upper levels of the Tokyo Tower instead. In a pinch, Conan escapes by throwing a heavy lamp he found using Agasa's new invention, the expanding suspender. Using it, he bounced it back at the BO's helicopter and damages their engine. The Black Organization manages to fly away but the helicopter crashes soon after. The fate of the four Black Organization members are unknown while Vermouth silently drives away whispering: “That was to be expected from my silver bullet.”

The Detective Boys find the real Matsumoto inside a small house in the woods.

Batik Day in Indonesia

UNESCO finally put batik in Indonesia Representative List of Cultural man Heritage non-Objects on 30 September 2009 yesterday. Batik became one of 76 arts and traditions from 27 countries selected. China dominates as much as 21 recognized cultural heritage, handicrafts mostly inherited from mother to child through many generations. Recognized from this batik is the process that uses canting and wax, which is also inherited a culture that were hereditary, in various places in Indonesia.

On October 2, 2009, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on the Indonesian people to wear batik as a sign of pride in our cultural heritage is recognized the world. Various places and even a special offer to those who wear batik visits.

AMD Demos 48-core ''Magny-Cours'' System

Earlier slated coarsely for 2010, AMD fine-tuned the expected release time-frame of its 12-core "Magny-Cours" Opteron processors to be within Q1 2010. The company seems to be ready with the processors, and has demonstrated a 4 socket, 48 core machine based on these processors. Magny Cours holds symbolism in being one of the last processor designs by AMD before it moves over to "Bulldozer", the next processor design by AMD built from ground-up. Its release will provide competition to Intel's multi-core processors available at that point.

AMD's Pat Conway at the IEEE Hot Chips 21 conference presented the Magny-Cours design that include several key design changes that boost parallelism and efficiency in a high-density computing environment. Key features include: Move to socket G34 (from socket-F), 12-cores, use of a multi-chip module (MCM) package to house two 6-core dies (nodes), quad-channel DDR3 memory interface, and HyperTransport 3 6.4 GT/s with redesigned multi-node topologies. Let's put some of these under the watch-glass.

Socket and Package
Loading 12 cores onto a single package and maintaining sufficient system and memory bandwidth would have been a challenge. With the Istanbul six-core monolothic die already measuring 346 mm² with a transistor-load of 904 million, making something monolithic twice the size is inconceivable, at least on the existing 45 nm SOI process. The company finally broke its contemptuous stance on multi-chip modules which it ridiculed back in the days of the Pentium D, and designed one of its own. Since each die is a little more than a CPU (in having a dual-channel memory controller, AMD chooses to call it a "node", a cluster of six processing cores that connects to its neighbour on the same package using one of its four 16-bit HyperTransport links. The rest are available to connect to neighbouring sockets and the system in 2P and 4P multi-socket topologies.

The socket itself gets a revamp from the existing 1,207-pin Socket-F, to the 1,974-pin Socket G34. The high pin-count ensures connections to HyperTransport links, four DDR3 memory connections, and other low-level IO.

Multi-Socket Topologies
A Magny-Cours Opteron processor can work in 2P and 4P systems for up to 48 physical processing cores. The multi-socket technologies AMD devised ensures high inter-core and inter-node bandwidth without depending on the system chipset IO for the task. In the 2P topology, one node from each socket uses one of its HyperTransport 16-bit links to connect to the system, the other to the neighbouring node on the package, and the remaining links to connect to the nodes of the neighbouring socket. It is indicated that AMD will make use of 6.4 GT/s links (probably generation 3.1). In 4P systems, it uses 8-bit links instead, to connect to three other sockets, but ensures each node is connected to the other directly, on indirectly over the MCM. With a total of 16 DDR3 DCTs in a 4P system, a staggering 170.4 GB/s of cumulative memory bandwidth is achieved.

Finally, AMD projects a up to 100% scaling with Magny-Cours compared to Istanbul. Its "future-silicon" projected for 2011 is projected to almost double that.

Ramadan (Arabic: رمضان‎) (also written Ramazan, Ramzan, Ramadhan, Ramdan, Ramadaan) is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until dusk [1] Fasting is meant to teach the Muslim patience, modesty and spirituality. Ramaḍān is a time to fast for the sake of Allah, and to offer more prayer than usual. During Ramaḍān, Muslims ask forgiveness for past sins, pray for guidance and help in refraining from everyday evils, and try to purify themselves through self-restraint and good deeds. As compared to solar calendar, the dates of Ramadan vary, moving forward about ten days each year. Ramadhan was the month in which the first verses of the Qur'an were revealed[Qur'an 2:185] to the Prophet Muhammad.

Determining the start date

The beginning of Ramadan is based upon the Islamic calendar and observing the first waxing crescent moon.

Hilal (The Crescent) is typically a day (or more) after the Astronomical New Moon (No Moon). So, since there is only one new moon a month, Muslims can safely estimate the beginning of Ramadan.

Practices during Ramaḍhān

Fasting

The most prominent event of this month is fasting. Every day during the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world get up before dawn to eat Sahur, the pre-dawn meal, then they perform the fajr prayer. They have to stop eating and drinking before the call for prayer starts until the fourth prayer of the day, Maghrib. Muslims may continue to eat and drink after the sun has set until the next morning's fajr prayer call. Then the process starts all over.

Ramadan is a time of reflecting and worshipping God. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam and to avoid obscene and irreligious sights and sounds. Sexual thoughts and activities during fasting hours are also forbidden.[Qur'an 2:187] Purity of both thoughts and actions is important. The fast is intended to be an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised awareness of closeness to God.

Prayer and reading of the Qur'an

In addition to fasting, Muslims are encouraged to read the entire Qur'an. Some Muslims perform the recitation of the entire Qur'an by means of special prayers, called Tarawih, which are held in the mosques every night of the month, during which a whole section of the Qur'an (juz, which is 1/30 of the Qur'an) is recited. Therefore the entire Qur'an would be completed at the end of the month.

Ramadan is also a time when Muslims are to slow down from worldly affairs and focus on self-reformation, spiritual cleansing and enlightenment, establishing a link between themselves and God through prayer, supplication, charity, good deeds, kindness and helping others. Since it is a festival of giving and sharing, Muslims prepare special foods and buy gifts for their family and friends and for giving to the poor and needy who cannot afford it; this can involve buying new clothes, shoes and other items of need. There is also a social aspect involved the preparing of special foods and inviting people for the Iftar meal (the meal to open the fast).

the history

on August 17th sixty four years ago, is a most historic day because my country INDONESIA is in the early days of the resurrection of the people against colonialism in Indonesia as well as a first revolution

The japan lost

On 6 August 1945 an atomic bomb be up in the Japanese city of Hiroshima by the United States began to demoralize the spirit of Japan in the world.On 9 August 1945, be the second atomic bomb on Nagasaki, so the Japanese surrender to the United States and allies. This moment is also used by Indonesia to proclaim its independence. Meanwhile in Indonesia, on 14 August 1945, Sutan Syahrir have heard the news through the radio that Japan had surrendered to the ally. The underground fighter preparing RI proclaim independence, and rejected the independence of the form given as prizes Japan.

The Rengasdengklok

Young combatants, including Chaerul Saleh, Sukarni, and Wikana - perhaps it is reported that a burn tempestuousness heroismenya after discussion with him the title of Datuk Tan Malaka - joined the underground movement in the loss of patience, and in the early hours on 16 August 1945. Morning, August 17, 1945, at the residence of Soekarno, Pegangsaan Road 56 East was attended among others Soewirjo, Wilopo, Gafar Pringgodigdo, Tabrani and Trinity. Events starting at 10:00 with a proclamation reading by Soekarno and go through a brief speech without a text. Then the Red and White flag, which has been sewed by Fatmawati, raised up.

Participants compete for eating crisp each, and the winner is the most rapid take-out the crisp. Rivalry involves two shift, with some participants. Two of the gang make it to the two opposite sides, and all participants held a tight rope. In the middle there is a divider line. Each team seeks interesting strap mine hammer in order to shift that may pass the barrier opposite. Shift of interest is expressed through the barrier less. Tactics of the game lies in the players, the strength of attraction and defense pedestal feet on the ground. In general, players with the most force is placed at the end of a rope, to hold the ends of the rope at any menghentak at the time

Under Niagara's Tunnel

Imagine a tunnel more than ten storeys underground, a hundred years old, bricklined, wet, and completely inaccessible save by descending through a narrow slit in its ceiling thirty feet above the floor, and then returning up the same rope you came down.

Now imagine that this tunnel flows into Niagara Falls, emerging behind the pummeling curtain of water that nearly everyone in North America journeys to see at some point in their lives.

This tunnel exists. In the autumn of 2004, thanks to the work of two people with the experience and equipment to make it happen, I had the chance to feel Niagara Falls.

Hydroelectric generating stations work by capturing the kinetic energy of falling water and converting it into mechanical energy using a turbine and then into electricity in a generator mounted at the other end of the turbine. At the beginning of the twentieth century, this technology had just begun to reach industrial maturity, and something of a race developed among competing private interests to capture the gravitational potential of the most spectacular water feature in Eastern North America, Niagara Falls.

One such group of investors formed the Ontario Power Company, laid great conduits beneath the land along the upper river, and took up residence on a thin strip of useable land in the gorge just downstream of the Falls. Water was piped from an inlet upriver of the falls and dropped through penstocks to the plant in the gorge where it spun turbines and was then returned immediately to the lower river just out in front of the plant.

The Toronto-based investors that formed the Electrical Development Company (which later became the Toronto Power Company), not having the benefit of such convenient real estate, had no choice but to pursue a different strategy: dig.

The wheelpit of the Toronto Power Company's hydroelectric station reaches deep into the bedrock just upstream of the falls. While the plant was operating, water fell through great iron penstocks hung in space in the inside of this chasm to the turbines seated in the floor at the very bottom of the pit. These turbines then spun shafts that reached the entire distance back up to the surface where they turned the generators that powered some of the first electrical industries and lighting in Southwestern Ontario.

Its gravitational potential exhausted, the water was released into two discharge conduits dug one to each side of the lowest level of the wheel pit. These joined a short distance north of the plant, and from there flowed beneath the upper river to the edge of the Falls, emerging behind the spectacular Horseshoe curtain.

The Toronto Power Co. plant had been abandoned for thirty years by the time myself and several other people began exploring it in 2003. As the river had begun eating its way into the wheelpit through leaks in the foundation and forebay of the building above it, the air within became choked with moisture and the metal catwalks, penstocks and turbine shafts rotted away

in the darkness.

In those intervening thirty years, the wheelpit's intermediate catwalk levels had become deadly. Beyond the spiral staircase that swept us down to the first level below the switch-locker-filled basement, there was a nearly endless descent down the one passable stairway, well-built but still precarious and untrustworthy in the soaking darkness. It was a trip into an elemental place where everywhere there was water, and beyond that only the crumbling guts of this strange building and the hint of something great and old sleeping somewhere below us.

And when we reached the lowest levels of the pit, carefully lowering ourselves through the caged ladder that was our only route back to a place where a sun shone and rain fell from the heavens only intermittently, we found a wonder buried below a thundering river for all eternity. We pushed through the rushing overpressure to look down the narrow shafts that provide the sole access into the plant's tailrace, and were struck dumb by the size, depth and construction of the two conduits that fed it. And then we tried to imagine how we could get down into it without getting ourselves killed or trapped at the bottom.

I've never felt deeper and more completely embraced by the earth around me than I did when I got the chance to enter the tailrace and push through rising waters to stand in Niagara's secret mists. The specifics of how we did it are best left unreported -- those with sufficient ability and experience to do what my expert acquaintances did for us would have already (the plant is now being renovated by the Niagara Parks Commission, as a result of which the wheelpit is on the verge of becoming completely inaccessible).

Lying below a river that will relentlessly tear into the bedrock until all has been obliterated from Queenston to Erie, this tunnel thirty-three feet in diameter is imprinted into my being forever. A swirling army of red brick millions strong, the eye of a petrified hurricane leading us right into the centre of the stalled but fighting storm that is Niagara Falls. Standing in its back-blast, in a place far deeper and darker than any middling storm sewer, I breathed and drank from the fount of the universe and swam closer to its centre than I ever will again.

In 1845, North-Western Territory, British North America, young James Howlett (Troye Sivan) sees his father John Howlett (Peter O'Brien) killed by Victor Creed's father, Thomas Logan (Aaron Jeffery). In an act of vengeance, James kills the elder Logan using his bone claws which protrude from his hands. With his dying breath, Logan tells James that he is also his son. James and Victor (Michael-James Olsen) then run away.

In the following years, adult brothers James (Hugh Jackman) and Victor (Liev Schreiber) are seen fighting together throughout the American Civil War, World War I, World War II, and eventually the Vietnam War, their regenerative powers keep them from being killed in the battlefield. James is forced to act as a check on Victor's ever-increasing rage and ferocity.

In Vietnam, Victor kills a superior officer after being stopped from raping a girl, and James and Victor are sentenced to death by firing squad, though their unique regenerative abilities keep them alive.

William Stryker (Danny Huston) approaches the two mutants and offers them membership in Team X, his elite group of mutants. The team consists of mutants Fred Dukes (Kevin Durand), who's super-strong and invulnerable, John Wraith (will.i.am), who can teleport, Chris Bradley (Dominic Monaghan), who can control electricity with his mind, expert marksman Agent Zero (Daniel Henney) and mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds). The brothers join the group, and are sent to the team's first mission: Invade a diamond traffic operation headquarters to retrieve a meteorite used by the leader of the dealers as a paperweight in Lagos, Nigeria.

After retrieving the meteorite, Stryker and the team interogate nearby village people to see if there are any other meteorites. James is disgusted by the murders committed by his teammates and abandons the group.

Six years afterward, James - now going by his last name, Logan - is a lumberjack living with his girlfriend Kayla Silverfox (Lynn Collins). Meanwhile, Victor hunts down and murders Bradley, mentioning that Wade is already dead. Stryker locates Logan, and claims that someone is out to kill members of the now-disbanded team. Stryker asks Logan for help, but is refused.

Shortly after, Silverfox is murdered by Victor. Wolverine hunts down his half-brother, but is easily defeated. Stryker once again asks Logan for help, and he agrees. Stryker then has Logan's skeletal system reinforced with adamantium, a virtually indestructible metal retrieved from the meteorite found by Team X. Before the procedure, Logan asks for his new dog tags to say "Wolverine", based on a story that Kayla had told him.

After the procedure, Stryker orders Wolverine's memory to be erased, but Wolverine overhears this and flees. Stryker orders Agent Zero to hunt him and take his head off. An elderly couple Travis (Max Cullen) and Heather Hudson (Julia Blake) sees Wolverine in their barn and provide him a home until the next morning, only to be shot dead by Zero.

Wolverine takes out several HMMWV, a helicopter and Zero himself, then goes to Las Vegas. Wolverine locates former associates John Wraith and Fred Dukes (who is now massively obese from a guilt-driven eating disorder), seeking to learn the location of Stryker's new laboratory. Wolverine learns the disbanded team had been capturing mutants for Stryker. One of them, Remy LeBeau (Taylor Kitsch), also known as Gambit, had escaped the island and knew the location. Dukes also tells him that Victor is actually working for Stryker, capturing and killing mutants for him.

Meanwhile, Stryker captures a teenage Scott Summers with Victor's aid. Wolverine and Wraith locate Gambit in a New Orleans bar. Wolverine talks to Gambit while Wraith keeps watching outside, but Gambit suspects Wolverine was sent to recapture him and, using his ability to charge objects with kinetic energy, throws several playing cards at Wolverine that sends him flying through a wall.

Outside, he sees Victor has killed Wraith and taken a sample of his blood. Wolverine fights Victor, only to be interrupted by Gambit. Victor escapes, and after a brief struggle, Gambit agrees to take Wolverine to the mutant prison on Three Mile Island.

Once there, Wolverine confronts Stryker and learns Silverfox is still alive, having faked her death with hydrochlorothiazide. She was keeping track of the mutant to free her sister, Emma Frost (Tahyna Tozzi), who is also in the prison.

With no more quarrel with Stryker, Wolverine departs. Victor, angered at Stryker that he let Wolverine go, demands the adamantium procedure. Stryker, however, tells him that he won't survive the procedure and in an act of rage, Victor tries to kill Silverfox. Wolverine hears Silverfox's screams and attacks Victor. Finally having the chance to kill Victor, Wolverine chooses not to give in to his animal instincts and instead knocks him out. Silverfox shows Wolverine to the holding cells, and he frees the mutants there; among them are Emma Frost and Scott Summers.

Panicking, Stryker prematurely activates his newest creation, Weapon XI (Scott Adkins) (also known as Deadpool), a bald, pale skinned and deformed Wade Wilson, lacking a mouth and with patterns marking adamantium bone structure.

The rescue party approached an exit when it is blocked by Weapon XI who is under Stryker's control. Wolverine tells them to find a new exit as two blades extend from Weapon XI's arms, similar to Wolverine's claws, but more like Wilson's preferred katanas.

At this moment Wolverine realizes that this monstrosity is actually Wade Wilson. Weapon XI has the abilities of several of the killed and captured mutants such as Scott's optic blasts, Wraith's teleportation, and Wolverine's healing ability.

During the escape, Silverfox is mortally wounded. The other mutants escape through the facility's tunnels, guided by Scott who is unable to tell them how he knows the exit. Emerging from the tunnel, the party encounter a helicopter. Emerging from the helicopter is a familiar figure, Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), who has guided them to safety and offers them a shelter at his school.

Meanwhile, the fight between Wolverine and Weapon XI spills onto the top of one of the plant's cooling towers. Weapon XI overpowers and prepares to decapitate Wolverine, but Victor returns to aid his brother. Wolverine and Victor, now working together, are able to decapitate Weapon XI; sending its head, still firing optic blasts, down into the cooling tower. Wolverine coldly informs Victor that despite his help, their relationship is over. Victor simply reminds him that as brothers, they can never be finished, and jumps off the side of the cooling tower. The resulting damage from the optic blasts causes the cooling tower to collapse, but Wolverine is saved by Gambit.

Wolverine asks Gambit to ensure the prisoners are safe, while he returns to find Silverfox, who had stayed behind. As he carries her to safety, Stryker shoots him in the back with an adamantium bullet. Wolverine tries to kill him but is soon shot in the head, knocking him unconscious. Silverfox uses her powers of persuasion to order Stryker to walk away until his feet bleed, then dies from her injuries.

Gambit returns to assure Wolverine that the mutants are safe, but due to amnesia caused by the brain damage the adamantium bullets inflicted, Wolverine does not remember anything (this was Stryker's intention, knowing that even the adamantium bullets could not kill Logan). Gambit tries to get Wolverine to come with him, but he declines. Gambit wishes Wolverine good luck before departing, and Wolverine flees the scene as the ambulances and police arrive.

It then cuts to Stryker, who is approached by a military vehicle and accused of knowing something in regards to General Munson's untimely death.

Finally, at the end of the credits, in a bonus scene, Wolverine is seen drinking shots in what appears to be an oriental bar. Once asked by the bartender if he is drinking to forget, he simply replies, "no, drinking to remember".

Hmm.....not bad hah.....but i'm still waiting the Sherlock holmes movies this year.......i wonder when its release. it is Robert Downey Jr that become the amazingly sherlock holmes......i can't wait to watch it.....

and interesting with it's look, i read the specs, and i found that it cored by intel atom. As a newbie i don't really know about Intel Atom, so i try to look in the internet about this processor specification. And finally this is the Intel Atom specification:

The Intel Atom processor is based on an entirely new micro-architecture designed specifically for small devices and low power, while maintaining the Intel Core 2 Duo instruction set compatibility consumers are accustomed to when using a standard PC and the Internet. The design also includes support for multiple threads for better performance and increased system responsiveness. All of this on a chip that measures less than 25 mm², making it Intel’s smallest and lowest power processor yet. These new chips, previously codenamed Silverthorne and Diamondville, will be manufactured in Intel’s 45nm process with hi-k metal gate technology. The chips have a thermal design power (TDP) specification in 0.6-2.5 watt range and scale to 1.8GHz speeds depending on customer need. By comparison, today’s mainstream mobile Core 2 Duo processors have a TDP in the 35-watt range. The Intel Centrino Atom processor technology, formerly codenamed “Menlow,” includes the Intel Atom processor, a low-power companion chip with integrated graphics, a wireless radio, and thinner and lighter designs.

In addition to the MID opportunity, Intel believes the demand for a new category of low-cost, Internet-centric mobile computing devices dubbed “netbooks” and basic Internet-centric desktop PCs dubbed “nettops,” will grow substantially over the next several years and the Intel Atom processor is designed to meet the needs of these new market segments. Intel said the Intel Atom processor also has potential for future revenue opportunities in consumer electronic devices, embedded applications and thin clients.

Intel formally announced its next-generation mobile device chips products, Atom and Centrino Atom, aimed at helping x86 regain its footing in the embedded and device markets. The chips use a new x86-compatible micro-architecture with an in-order pipeline, similar to ARM. Built on 45 nanometer process technology and using "High-K" metal gate transistor technologies, the Atom processor fits onto a 25mm by 25mm die, even with tons of cache. It will use a tenth the power of its mobile Core2 Duo "ULV" chips, Intel says, while scaling to 1.8GHz speeds.

It is likely that the Atom will reach the market only as part of the Intel Centrino Atom chipset, which combines the CPU with a "Poulsbo" companion chip that integrates northbridge and southbridge. Designed to meet the needs of Intel's "Mobile Internet Device" (MID) specification for handheld devices, the Centrino Atom chipset can also optionally include WiFi, WiMax, and other peripheral chips. The chipset will also be available with a penny-sized, 16GB solid state disk called the Z-P140.

ARM's latest offering, meanwhile, is the Cortex-A8 core, which was recently embraced by Texas Instruments (TI) in its OMAP3 applications processors. Incorporating a dual-issue design that can clock up to 1GHz, the Cortex-A8 is claimed to use less than 300mW when implemented using 65nm technology. TI reports that its benchmarks show the Cortex-A8 performing at up to 1200 Dhrystone MIPS (millions of instructions per second).

ARM vs. Atom

There's much to like about the Intel Atom, writes Williston in EETimes. Yet, he suggests, the media and its readers may have been overwhelmed by the hype machine. Williston offers the following responses to typical arguments from the atomic power lobbyists, at times quoting analysts such as Forward Concepts's Will Strauss to back him up:

* Atom will beat ARM because it can run Vista. -- No it can't, says Williston. Atom can run Windows CE and Linux, but ARM can do the same.

* Only Atom offers a "real" Internet experience with Flash video, YouTube, etc. -- "Wrong," writes Williston, pointing to ARM Flash players from BSquare, and an ARM-based YouTube decoder from On2. He might also have noted that Nokia's ARM- and Linux-based Internet tablets use a Mozilla-based browser, with plugins for Flash, Windows Media files, and even Microsoft's Flash-like Silverlight technology.

* Intel dominates every market it enters. Here, the writer refers the reader to the history books, especially two years ago when Intel sold its PXA line of embedded processors to Marvell after failing to dominate the market for ARM-based SoCs.

* Atom will win because ARM is proprietary technology. Nope, he writes. ARM chips are available from a number of semiconductor vendors.

* Intel will win on cost. Not likely, he writes. Using a 65nm process, the Cortex-A8 occupies less than 3mm x 3mm, he notes, while the Atom core probably takes up about 9mm x 9mm of Atom's 25mm x 25mm die size, despite its smaller 45nm process. "With such a huge area disadvantage, it's hard to see how Intel will win on cost," he writes.

* Intel will win on power. Once again, not likely, he argues. Intel quotes a thermal design power (TDP) of 0.6W to 2W for Atom, he writes, but doesn't specify clock speeds. ARM offers only "typical" power measurements, making comparison difficult. But at best, he suggests, Intel matches ARM on power usage, while "in most scenarios, Atom burns more power."

* Intel will win because it has the most advanced fabs. Perhaps, he writes, but who cares? "Consumers focus on cost, power and speed," he writes.

In the end, Williston admits that the Intel Atom will likely run faster than ARM chips, especially for applications that exploit Atom's support for dual-threading. He also allows that "the most important versions of Atom are still a year or two away" when the chip will "integrate graphics and a memory controller." This, however, is a bit of a two-edged sword, as the embedded device market is exploding now, and ARM seems to be everywhere, along with Via and other potential competitors not mentioned in the article.

Perhaps the Atom's biggest advantage is its inherently superior support for PC applications, which could bring more well-tested x86 software to set-top boxes (STBs), automotive infotainment devices, ultra-mobile computers, and devices like the TiVo. The advantage is especially acute with games. "If Intel can leverage the large base of existing PC games it could outflank ARM with mobile gaming devices," he writes.

so What is Angina Pectoris?

Angina pectoris, commonly known as angina, is severe chest paindue to ischemia (a lack of blood and hence oxygen supply) of the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries (the heart's blood vessels). Coronary artery disease, the main cause of angina, is due to atherosclerosis of the cardiac arteries. The term derives from the Greek ankhon ("strangling") and the Latin pectus ("chest"), and can therefore be translated as "a strangling feeling in the chest".

It is not common to equate severity of angina with risk of fatal cardiac events. There is a weak relationship between severity of pain and degree of oxygen deprivation in the heart muscle (i.e. there can be severe pain with little or no risk of a heart attack, and a heart attack can occur without pain).

Worsening ("crescendo") angina attacks, sudden-onset angina at rest, and angina lasting more than 15 minutes are symptoms of unstable angina (usually grouped with similar conditions as the acute coronary syndrome). As these may herald myocardial infarction (a heart attack), they require urgent medical attention and are generally treated as a presumed heart attack.

Symptoms

Most patients with angina complain of chest discomfort rather than actual pain: the discomfort is usually described as a pressure, heaviness, tightness, squeezing, burning, or choking sensation.

Go to a hospital emergency department if the patient has any of the following with chest pain:

* Other symptoms such as:

o sweating,

o weakness,

o faintness,

o numbness or tingling, or

o nausea

* Pain that does not go away after a few minutes

* Pain that is of concern in any way

Apart from chest discomfort, anginal pains may also be experienced in the epigastrium (upper central abdomen), back, neck, jaw, or shoulders, following skin dermatomes.

Typical locations for radiation of pain are arms (often inner left arm), shoulders, and neck into the jaw.

Angina is typically precipitated by exertion or emotional stress. It is exacerbated by having a full stomach and by cold temperatures. Pain may be accompanied by breathlessness, sweating and nausea in some cases. It usually lasts for about 3 to 5 minutes, and is relieved by rest or specific anti-angina medication. Chest pain lasting only a few seconds is normally not angina.

Myocardial ischemia comes about when the myocardia (the heart muscles) receive insufficient blood and oxygen to function normally either because of increased oxygen demand by the myocardia or by decreased supply to the myocardia. This inadequate perfusion of blood and the resulting reduced delivery of oxygen and nutrients is directly correlated to blocked or narrowed blood vessels.

Some experience "autonomic symptoms" (related to increased activity of the autonomic nervous system) such as nausea, vomiting and pallor.

Major risk factors for angina include cigarette smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, sedentary lifestyle and family history of premature heart disease.

A variant form of angina (Prinzmetal's angina) occurs in patients with normal coronary arteries or insignificant atherosclerosis. It is thought to be caused by spasms of the artery. It occurs more in younger women.

Diagnosis

In angina patients who are momentarily not feeling any chest pain, an electrocardiogram (ECG) is typically normal, unless there have been other cardiac problems in the past. During periods of pain, depression or elevation of the ST segment may be observed. To elicit these changes, an exercise ECG test ("treadmill test") may be performed, during which the patient exercises to their maximum ability before fatigue, breathlessness or, importantly, pain supervenes; if characteristic ECG changes are documented (typically more than 1 mm of flat or downsloping ST depression), the test is considered diagnostic for angina. The exercise test is also useful in looking for other markers of myocardial ischaemia: blood pressure response (or lack thereof, particularly a drop in systolic pressure), dysrhythmia and chronotropic response. Other alternatives to a standard exercise test include a thallium scintigram (in patients that cannot exercise enough for the purposes of the treadmill tests, e.g., due to asthma or arthritis or in whom the ECG is too abnormal at rest) or Stress Echocardiography.

In patients in whom such noninvasive testing is diagnostic, a coronary angiogram is typically performed to identify the nature of the coronary lesion, and whether this would be a candidate for angioplasty, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), treatment only with medication, or other treatments. In patients who are in hospital with unstable angina (or the newer term of "high risk acute coronary syndromes"), those with resting ischaemic ECG changes or those with raised cardiac enzymes such as troponin may undergo coronary angiography directly.

Treatment

NITRATE MEDICATIONSNitroglycerin is usually given during an acute attack of angina. It can be given as a tablet that dissolves under the tongue or as a spray. There are also longer-lasting types that can be used to prevent angina.These may be given as pills, or applied as patches or ointments.
BLOOD THINNERS

A small, daily dose of aspirin has been shown to decrease the risk of heart attack. Patients who have had unstable angina or a heart attack may benefit from the addition of warfarin (ie, coumadin), though there is an increased risk of bleeding with this medication.

BETA-BLOCKERS and CALCIUM-CHANNEL BLOCKERS

When used regularly (not as treatment for acute angina), these medications may reduce the occurrence of angina.

CHOLESTEROL-LOWERING MEDICATIONS

These may prevent the progression of coronary artery disease and may even improve existing coronary artery disease.

ANGIOTENSIN-CONVERTING ENZYME (ACE)INHIBITORS and ANGIOTENSIN RECEPTOR BLOCKERS (ARBs)

These medications lower blood pressure and are especially beneficial for patients who had a heart attack in the past. They also decrease the workload on the heart.

SURGERY

Patients with severe angina or unstable, progressing angina may benefit from:

* Coronary artery bypass graft

* Coronary angioplasty

PREVENTION

If one already has angina, he/she can prevent its onset by being aware of the activities or conditions which tend to bring it on.

If one doesn't have angina, preventing the development and/or progression of coronary artery disease may reduce the chance of getting angina.

Steps to prevent coronary artery disease include managing risk factors:

* Maintain a healthy weight.

* Begin a safe exercise program with the advice of the doctor.

* Stop smoking.

* Eat a healthful diet, one that is low in saturated fat and rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

* Appropriately treat high blood pressure and/or diabetes.

* Appropriately treat abnormal cholesterol levels or high triglycerides .

I little bit confused when i want to buy a new notebook for my sister. i know the other specification that suit to her personality. but the one that make me confuse is the processor, which one should i choose an intel core2 duo P series or T series. So, i grab some of people opinion in both processor. here are the opinion:

1. The T-series have a 677-800mhz FSB, while the P-series have a 1066-mhz FSB. The T-series is older technology than the P-series. The P-series is also 45-nanometer technology, as opposed to the 65-nanometer technology on the T-series. Because of this the P-series uses 10 less watts, 35 vs. 25. The L2 Cache of the T-series ranges from 1mb-6mb, while the range of the P-series is 3mb-6mb. To promote the Tour de Singkarak 2009, the committee plans to hold the Soul of Minangkabau, a music concert of a mixed group of musicians from Jakarta and West Sumatera and headed by Dwiki Darmawan. The committee will also hold other festivities, such as folk party, culinary festival, and mass bicycle riding activity, in which 5,000 participants will ride old bicycles. The ministry has asked cooperation from governments, businesses, individuals and groups of societies to make these pre-Tour promotional events a success. The ministry has also asked cooperation of Metro TV as media partner and Garuda Indonesia as airline partner.

The tourist visits to West Sumatera show a rising trend. The total number of tourists in 2008 was 1,400,000, including 100,000 foreign ones. For the year 2009, the Government of West Sumatera is targeting 1,500,000 tourists.

Inspiring People To Care About The Environmentally Friendly Handicraft

Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair or INACRAFT 2009 will be re-organized on April 22 - 26, 2009 at Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center. Such a handicraft trade fair which has been held for 11 years is always expected and intended by Indonesian people and overseas importers who are mainly the visitors to INACRAFT. Moreover, it is a routine visit agenda for overseas tourists, which is currently being promoted and encouraged by the government through the Department of Culture and Tourism.

Due to the familiar existance of INACRAFT, we, The ASSOCIATION OF EXPORTER AND PRODUCER OF INDONESIAN HANDICRAFT (ASEPHI), in cooperation with PT. MEDIATAMA BINAKREASI, will keep making efforts as optimally as possible for presenting a high-quality package of exhibition which is better than the previous fair, particularly in terms of service provision, product zoning, and internationalization of exhibition by preserving the artistic and interesting traditional nuance.

today my office held a seminar for once more. This time it's topic is about self hypnosis

Hypnosis/hypnotist

Hypnosis is a mental state (state theory) or set of attitudes (nonstate theory) usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction, which is commonly composed of a series of preliminary instructions and suggestions. Hypnotic suggestions may be delivered by a hypnotist in the presence of the subject ("hetero-suggestion"), or may be self-administered ("self-suggestion" or "autosuggestion"). The use of hypnotism for therapeutic purposes is referred to as "hypnotherapy".

The words 'hypnosis' and 'hypnotism' both derive from the term "neuro-hypnotism" (nervous sleep) coined by the Scottish physician and surgeon James Braid around 1841 to distinguish his theory and practice from those developed by Franz Anton Mesmer and his followers ("Mesmerism" or "animal magnetism").

Although a popular misconception is that hypnosis is a form of unconsciousness resembling sleep, contemporary research suggests that it is actually a wakeful state of focused attention and heightened suggestibility, with diminished peripheral awareness.In the first book on the subject, Neurypnology (1843), Braid described "hypnotism" as a state of physical relaxation ("nervous sleep") accompanied and induced by mental concentration ("abstraction")

The American Psychological Association's Definition of Hypnosis

Hypnosis typically involves an introduction to the procedure during which the subject is told that suggestions for imaginative experiences will be presented. The hypnotic induction is an extended initial suggestion for using one's imagination, and may contain further elaborations of the introduction. A hypnotic procedure is used to encourage and evaluate responses to suggestions. When using hypnosis, one person (the subject) is guided by another (the hypnotist) to respond to suggestions for changes in subjective experience, alterations in perception, sensation, emotion, thought or behaviour. Persons can also learn self-hypnosis, which is the act of administering hypnotic procedures on one's own. If the subject responds to hypnotic suggestions, it is generally inferred that hypnosis has been induced. Many believe that hypnotic responses and experiences are characteristic of a hypnotic state. While some think that it is not necessary to use the word "hypnosis" as part of the hypnotic induction, others view it as essential.

Details of hypnotic procedures and suggestions will differ depending on the goals of the practitioner and the purposes of the clinical or research endeavor. Procedures traditionally involve suggestions to relax, though relaxation is not necessary for hypnosis and a wide variety of suggestions can be used including those to become more alert. Suggestions that permit the extent of hypnosis to be assessed by comparing responses to standardised scales can be used in both clinical and research settings. While the majority of individuals are responsive to at least some suggestions, scores on standardised scales range from high to negligible.

Commonly hypnosis was used for Hypnotherapy, Medical applications, Psychotherapy, Self-hypnosis, Stage hypnosis. Hypnotism has also been used in forensics, sports, education, physical therapy and rehabilitation

Self Hypnosis

Self-hypnosis happens when a person hypnotises himself or herself, commonly involving the use of autosuggestion. The technique is often used to increase motivation for a diet, quit smoking, or reduce stress. People who practice self-hypnosis sometimes require assistance; some people use devices known as mind machines to assist in the process, while others use hypnotic recordings.

Self-hypnosis is said to be a skill one can improve as time goes by, and can help reduce stage fright, promote relaxation, and enhance physical well-being.

before that, we must understand first that we have 2 types of mind that control our behavior, they called with conscious and sub conscious.
conscious is that we understand mind in day-to-day, that is the device that we use to think logically and rational. while sub conscious is the set of experiences, understanding, understanding, and belief system and our self-image, similar to the data there is a disk in the computer, the results of absorption we are born until the start of today.
From this second type of mind, the sub conscious mind has a very big influence on our behavior, much greater than the influence of conscious one .A popular psychology books even mention that the contribution of the sub conscious mind in our behavior is 88%, and the rest of 12% is the contribution of conscious thought.
Now imagine, if we have a lot of data "does not empower" in our subconscious mind. What will happen? Even rational understanding-nor will we be able to help!
How we understand that diligent study and hard work is one of the key to success, but why we often lose the motivation to do this? Yes, this is because the subconscious mind may save patterns that undermine motivation.
There are many more examples of "loss" caused by the subconscious mind, among others: phobia, traumatic, as well as various physical disease that is triggered by the psychological aspects of the "Psychosomatic Illness", for example, is: ashma disease, interruption of blood pressure, allergies, etc..
And what relationship with SelfHypnosis?
Self Hypnosis is a method to "enter the" unconscious mind, so that we can do "re-programming" of our subconscious mind, and also "data cleaning", so that left only things that truly "empower" themselves us. With Self Hypnosis we have the opportunity to "re-establish" ourselves!

Basic Principles of Self Hypnosis

Basic principles of Self Hypnosis is "talking" and "provide instruction" to ourselves. The definition of "ourselves" in this case is "The sub conscious mind". Next expected if subconscious mind is that we understand what "instructed", the subconscious mind this will affect our actions in daily life,

Subconscious mind has a "gateway", and also has a "language" itself. Therefore, if we have the ability to "open" the gate, and we are also able to communicate with the "language" understood by the subconscious mind, then we can do programming themselves as described beginning.
So the basic principle of Self Hypnosis is:

1. Opening the gate, sub conscious mind
2. Talking with the subconscious mind in accordance with the "language" that understand.

Self Hypnosis in full will consist of 3 main parts, namely:

1. relaxation

Please sit back in a comfortable place, eg on the sofa, do in private with a quiet environment, turn off your handpone! Niatkan to stop all activity in a few minutes. Put your hands freely on thigh, and let your feet free of the loose

2. Self Programming

anything that covers the whole emotional conditions that we want. Want to start from the healthy, happy you want to, want to rich , want to have a high self-motivation, to increase the confidence, etc..

Programs:

Specify only one kind of theme first! Example: want to increase the confidence to speak in public.
Compile the script is good with respect to this main theme, to comply with the basic principle, namely:
 Use positive sentences. Say what you want, not what you avoid. (ex: i want health instead i don't want sick)
 Use the Present Tense. Think of you already are in a condition referred to.
 Make the repetition-repetition-dikalimat the principal associated with the main theme.
 Use sentence-the sentence that can arouse positive emotions, remember that the subconscious mind is very sensitive to the emotional.
When reading the program, add the imagination, make this imjainasi in such detail, as if you are in a condition referred to, until you can feel the positive emotions (happiness, pride, etc.).

3. Termination

this is example command for termination:

"I will count from 1 to 5, and count on me to-5 will open the eyes up in conditions that are very fresh, healthy, and positive" [Start doing the calculation slowly].

well i don't know where i must start to write this blog. So lets start with my activity today.

Today my office held a half day seminar about the important meaning of pornography law no 44 year 2008.

the pornography have spread since reformation in 1998, Since then the media have the really really free right for express what they want, especially cryptography. But they don't realize the side effect that they had created. with mass media as its spread media pornography become cheaper, easier to get, even by a child. they can get it from their handphone, internet, porn vcd, porn magazine, even the television. thats why the sexual criminality that done by under 15 age child increase rapidly. Imagine the elementary student raped his own friend grouply after seeing porn movie....oh god..what will this world going to be. another case a college student record his sex activity with his girlfriend with a handphone and then without his control, this video spread around his town.

then what should we do? there are many things that we can do to avoid a case like two case above.

1. a parent care and love to their children

2. put their children into a good religion education

3. sex education

4. avoid all access to pornography material.

if the child in a case above is jailed, then why the person who make the porn movie and distribute it still free around. thats why this pornography law is so important,with this law policeman can capture the provider, distributor, and people who help this spread of porn material.

so lets keep away from pornography. as moslem we know that its a sin....
